2014 Community Justice Award recipients

The Alberta government is proud to announce the recipients of the 2014 Community Justice Awards. Co-hosted by the Lethbridge Regional Police Service, the awards recognize the amazing achievements of volunteers involved in community safety, crime prevention and the criminal justice system.

“Community justice is a shared responsibility. I’m grateful for these outstanding Albertans whose dedication and selflessness fosters safer neighbourhoods across the province while inspiring others to do the same.”

Jonathan Denis, Minister of Alberta Justice and Solicitor General

“Crime and disorder impacts us all and the need for community engagement, partnerships and crime prevention initiatives that include participation from citizens along with all levels of government, has never been greater. We must work together to develop sustainable, long-term strategies and solutions.”

Chief Tom McKenzie, Lethbridge Regional Police Service

Promoting safe communities is a common goal shared by the 12 award recipients from across the province.
