Free admission to Alberta historic sites and museums for military families

Master Seaman Daniel Lavoie and his son Michael, 4, present their CFOne Card for free admission to the Royal Alberta Museum as son Matthew, 3, looks on.

Military personnel and their families can show their CFOne Cards to gain free unlimited regular admission to any Alberta Culture heritage facility across the province.

“As Albertans, we are humbled by the contribution of Canada’s men and women in uniform. Free admission to provincial heritage facilities is our way of showing extra appreciation. I hope it gives them a chance to discover more of Alberta’s great treasures and to spend some happy time with loved ones.”

Heather Klimchuk, Minister of Culture

Free admission for members of Canada’s military and their families was first announced on March 12, 2014 and applies in perpetuity.

Under the Building Alberta Plan, our government is investing in families and communities, living within our means, and opening new markets for Alberta's resources to ensure we're able to fund the services Albertans told us matter most to them. We will continue to deliver the responsible change Albertans voted for.
