Human Services Minister Bhullar and fellow MLAs celebrate the 2014 Great Kids Award with this year’s winners.
The sixteen 2014 award winners were recognized for their accomplishments, ranging from raising thousands of dollars for charity to fighting aggressive eye cancer to helping with southern Alberta flood relief efforts.
“Alberta is full of bright young leaders who deserve to be recognized for their achievements, which have helped build stronger families and communities. We want to inspire them to continue reaching their potential and doing great things every day – at home, at school, and in their communities.”

Since its inception in 2000, the Great Kids Awards have recognized 210 children and youth between ages 5 to 18 for their achievements.
Award winners were chosen by a selection committee comprised of other youth, community representatives, and corporate sponsors – IBM and Fantasyland Hotel.
