This release was issued under a previous government.

Minister Dallas will join Premier Redford as part of the Alberta trade delegation to India. He will continue on to Singapore to engage with key decision makers and partners in the region.

“Southeast Asia and Oceania have a combined population of 600 million people and include several of the world’s most successful economies. Singapore remains a significant entry point into these diverse and prosperous markets. This is why it’s so important we get boots on the ground to identify opportunities and showcase what Alberta has to offer.”

Cal Dallas, Minister of International and Intergovernmental Relations

Minister Lukaszuk will be in China to renew Memorandums of Understanding with the Shanghai Department of Science and Technology and Zhejiang Department of Science and Technology. He will also represent Alberta at the renowned Harbin Ice Festival in Alberta’s sister province, Heilongjiang.

“China is a critical partner for Alberta and is one of the biggest investors in our province. Our ties go back to the founding of Alberta, and a strong relationship with one of the world’s biggest economies and most powerful nations builds our profile globally.”

Thomas Lukaszuk, Minister of Jobs, Skills, Training and Labour

Under the Building Alberta Plan, our government is investing in families and communities, living within our means, and opening new markets for Alberta's resources to ensure we're able to fund the services Albertans told us matter most to them. We will continue to deliver the responsible change Albertans voted for.
