November 7 (9 a.m.)

  • Ms. Carlson filed complaints alleging the officer committed perjury or deceit when he provided sworn testimony at a hearing.

November 13 (9 a.m.)

  • Mr. Pettersson filed complaints that officers improperly deployed a police dog.  Mr. Pettersson further alleged that officers used excessive force and used profane/abusive language towards him.

November 14 (9 a.m.)

  • Mr. Patel filed complaints alleging the officer refused to accept evidence that was provided to him to lay a charge of assault against another individual.  Mr. Patel alleged the officer did not investigate his claims that someone lied when police were told Mr. Patel had breached his conditions.

November 19 (9 a.m.)

  • Mr. Lungonzo filed complaints alleging an officer was deceitful in making misrepresentations when obtaining a search warrant, and that the statement in the officer’s report constituted deceit.  Mr. Lungonzo further alleged that officers did not advise him why they entered his home, detained him and searched his residence and accused him of lying. 

November 20 (1 p.m.)

  • Ms. Bolduc filed complaints alleging that officers conducted an inadequate investigation.  Ms. Bolduc further alleged that officers engaged in discreditable conduct by not returning several telephone messages she left during the course of the investigation, which resulted in her arrest.

November 21 (9 a.m.)

  • Cst. Quaidoo appealed the Presiding Officer’s findings on allegations of unlawful/unnecessary exercise of authority and deceit, and on the penalty that he be dismissed from the Edmonton Police Service.

An independent body established pursuant to the Police Act in 1973, the Alberta Law Enforcement Review Board reviews public complaints about police officer conduct. The board also reviews police officers’ appeals on disciplinary action.
