Ten exceptional individuals and organizations are receiving awards for their outstanding commitment and leadership in family violence prevention.

“Family violence is a societal issue which demands a societal response. This year's award recipients demonstrate the power of individuals and communities to make a difference in their communities. Their efforts are helping build a safer and healthier Alberta.”

- Sandra Jansen, Associate Minister of Family and Community Safety
  • This year’s recipients work in the communities of Athabasca, Calgary, Carstairs, Drayton Valley, Drumheller, Edmonton, Peace River and Stettler.
  • The awards are presented in four categories: adults, seniors, groups/organizations, and government – and one individual will receive a lifetime achievement award.
