This release was issued under a previous government.

“Our government knows recovering from a disaster can be a difficult process that takes time and money. We’ve put this program in place to help people in Redcliff with uninsurable damage and loss rebuild and repair.”

- Doug Griffiths, Minister of Municipal Affairs

Approximately 100 residents may be eligible for assistance under the program, which has been approved for up to $500,000. Funding is based on preliminary assessments of the damage and may change depending on the final costs of repairs. Small businesses agricultural operations, non-profits, institutions and condo associations may also be eligible for this program if they have uninsurable damage.

How to apply

The Government of Alberta’s Disaster Recovery Program provides financial assistance for communities, residents, small businesses and agricultural producers to repair uninsurable property damage and loss. It covers the costs of returning property to the functional condition it was in before a disaster happened.

Our government was elected to keep building Alberta, to live within its means and to fight to open new markets for Alberta’s resources. We will continue to deliver the responsible change Albertans voted for.
