From the discovery of Richard III’s remains in a car park to the locating of an Arctic shipwreck, from the things that made Neanderthals different from us to the story of the first Albertans, Time Travellers will take the audience on a journey of wide-ranging discovery.

Presented by internationally renowned scholars, the lectures are recommended for ages 12 and up. They will be presented on four consecutive Thursdays – October 17, 24, 31 and November 7 – in the museum theatre, starting at 7 p.m.

On the evenings of the lectures the museum will remain open from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., giving visitors a chance to tour the main floor galleries and visit the gift shop. A cash bar will also be available.

As a tribute to the 20th season of this very popular series, the orientation gallery in the museum’s lobby will feature an exhibit of Time Travellers posters from the last 20 years, running from September 21 to November 11.

Tickets are $8 per lecture, or $25 for a series pass. Mammoth pass holders receive 10% off. For more information visit www.royalalbertamuseum.ca, (Exhibits and Events) or call 780-453-9100 (dial 310-0000 for toll-free access within Alberta).
