This release was issued under a previous government.

Led by Cal Dallas, Minister of International and Intergovernmental Relations, the Market Access Tour will travel to seven communities to make even more businesses aware of the services offered by the Government of Alberta.

“Getting fair value for Alberta products on the international market continues to be top of mind for the Alberta government, and a key part of our Building Alberta Plan. We offer numerous services to businesses to help them be players on the international stage. By going into communities and speaking directly with local businesses, we will continue to build Alberta together.”

Cal Dallas, Minister of International and Intergovernmental Relations

Taking a collaborative approach, the sessions are hosted by local chambers of commerce and will have representatives from across government to provide participants with information on how to export their products or services.

The information sessions will be held in St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Edmonton, Red Deer, Olds, Calgary, Lethbridge, and Airdrie.

During the first Market Access Tour, April 15 - May 2, businesses across the province were provided with important information to help them gain access to international markets. Due to the positive feedback, the tour has been extended at the request of additional communities.

Our government was elected to keep building Alberta, to live within its means and to fight to open new markets for Alberta’s resources. We will continue to deliver the responsible change Albertans voted for.
