This release was issued under a previous government.
Signs will direct travellers to Range Roads 113 and 121 for north-south travel and Township Road 730 for east-west travel.
When complete, the new bridge will ensure the safety of the travelling public and commercial traffic travelling on Highway 672 for years to come.
The work will include:
- Removal and disposal of the existing bridge
- New construction of the bridge at the same location
- Re-alignment of the existing Range Road 114
Alberta motorists benefit from bridge safety projects throughout the province year-round. Recent investments in bridge rehabilitation and replacement included: the Highway 55 bridge in Athabasca; the Steinhauer and Grant MacEwan bridges in Fort McMurray; the westbound Highway 1 bridge in Medicine Hat; the Millet bridge on Highway 2; the Peace River bridge, three bridges on Calgary’s Deerfoot Trail 16th Avenue, Ogden and Calf Robe, as well as the Highway 16 bridge north-east of Sherwood Park.
