This release was issued under a previous government.

The contractor will be at work Nov. 24 and Nov. 25 and the culvert replacement is expected to be complete by Nov. 25, weather permitting. Speed reductions and lane restrictions help ensure a safe work zone for construction crews and motorists. Flag people will be on site to direct traffic.

The culvert was initially damaged when heavy rains this spring caused flooding in the area. The new culvert has a greater capacity which provides a free-flowing watercourse for Atim Creek and will help prevent future flooding.

Motorists are reminded to drive courteously in the construction zone and obey all posted speed limits, signs and flag people. Fines for speeding are doubled when workers are present.
