Starting Oct. 23, single-lane closures in the southbound lanes only will commence when there are workers present. These temporary, intermittent lane closures, will only affect one of the two southbound lanes at a time and will not stop traffic. Work is expected to be complete by Nov. 6, weather permitting.
Work is being done during off-peak hours to minimize effects on motorists. Traffic will be allowed to flow freely with two southbound lanes open during peak travel times (5 - 8 a.m. and 3:30 - 9 p.m.)
Motorists should use caution in the area and obey all signs and flag people. Fines for speeding are doubled through construction zones when workers are present.
