This project was originally scheduled for completion on October 15. Due to the addition of an auxiliary lane on northbound and southbound lanes from the Whitemud interchange to the Callingwood interchange, the project will now be completed by November 15, weather permitting.
The addition of auxiliary lanes will help reduce the number of traffic merging movements, which will increase safety for motorists by reducing the probability of rear end collisions.
Motorists should use caution in this area and obey all signs, message boards, and flag people. Fines for speeding are doubled in construction zones when workers are present.
