This release was issued under a previous government.
The $1.8-million project on the 40-year-old bridge was completed safely and on time with limited disruptions for motorists. All lanes on the eastbound 16th Avenue N bridge are open to traffic and the southbound Deerfoot Trail to eastbound 16th Avenue N turn for large commercial vehicles has been restored. The speed limit is back up to its usual 70 km/h.
