This release was issued under a previous government.

On September 13, 2009, a worker error at Lilydale’s poultry processing plant in the Ramsay neighbourhood of Calgary resulted in the release of ammonia gas. Nearby residents were forced to leave their homes or shelter inside.

The company was charged on September 8, 2011, following an investigation by the Alberta government.
