This release was issued under a previous government.
The temporary detour has tight curves and guardrails that restrict the movement of oversized vehicles. Vehicles with wide and long loads are asked to use alternate routes or use pilot vehicles and flagpeople through the construction zone. Depending on the width of the loads, traffic may be required to be held at either end of the detour to allow the load to pass safely.
Construction is expected to be completed by Aug. 1, weather permitting.
