Starting Nov. 7, for approximately one week, the 17th Avenue roadway will be reduced to one lane eastbound and two lanes westbound. Two lanes on Stoney Trail NE will be maintained. Access onto Stoney Trail NE and 17th Avenue SE will not be affected.
On Nov. 15, for approximately one week, traffic will be switched over onto the temporary detour. The 17th avenue roadway will remain reduced to one lane eastbound and two lanes westbound. The existing two lanes on Stoney Trail NE will not be affected and access onto Stoney Trail NE and 17th Avenue SE will be maintained. Once completed, two lanes in each direction on 17th Avenue SE will be opened.
Motorists should use caution in this area and obey all traffic signs, message boards, and flag people. Fines are doubled for speeding in construction zones when workers are present.
