Updated timeline: Baseline bridge demolition May 17, 2013 Travellers' Advisory
Edmonton ...Demolition of the current eastbound Baseline Road bridge to accommodate the construction of a new bridge over Anthony Henday Drive has been rescheduled and will now take place from May 24 to 27. The demolition work will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 24. To ensure a safe construction zone for workers and motorists, northbound and southbound traffic on Anthony Henday Drive will be redirected around the demolition site using the existing ramp intersections. Speed reduction will be maintained at 50km/h on Baseline Road and the detour ramps. Traffic on Baseline Road will continue to flow freely with two lanes in each direction available at all times. Doing the work over the weekend will minimize disruption for motorists and the demolition will be complete by 6 a.m. on May 27, ensuring free flow traffic for Monday morning commuters.

Government supports greater access to library resources April 25, 2013 News Release
A one-time $400,000 grant from the Alberta Government will help public libraries with the costs of sharing resources. The one-time funding to the 16 key library access points in the provincewide public library network will help offset operational costs, such as staffing, technology, and courier distribution, as resource-sharing expands across the province.

Bridges sprouting up along Stoney Trail this spring April 25, 2013 Travellers' Advisory
Concrete for the new twin bridge deck at 88 Street S.E. over Highway 22X will be poured between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on April 26 and 27 . Approximately 30 trucks will be moving 350 tonnes of concrete that will be poured throughout the two days over the weekend.

Motorists may experience brief daytime delays from April 27 to May 24 on Highway 22X for the transportation of excavated clay material. Delays will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Highway 22X west of 88th Street SE.
