Highway 54 realignment at Innisfail opens to traffic
Innisfail... Motorists are advised that the Highway 54 realignment at Innisfail is open to traffic.
The new highway provides a direct connection from Highway 54 west of Innisfail to the south Innisfail interchange on the Queen Elizabeth II Highway.
Construction of this $6.5-million project started in the spring of 2009. The new route is six kilometres long and effectively bypasses the town.
