DANYLUK 312/2009 MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT (section 98) - Changes the name of the “Municipal District of Rocky View No. 44” to “Rocky View County”. 313/2009 MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT (section 126) - Orders the separation of certain land from the Municipal District of Wainwright No. 61 and the annexation of that land, approximately 68.7 hectares (170 acres) to the Village of Edgerton. No special assessment and taxation conditions are required. 314/2009 MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT (section 602.02) - Makes the Ridge Water Services Commission Regulation. Establishes the Ridge Water Services Commission consisting of the Town of Raymond and the Village of Stirling to provide water treatment and transmission services. 315/2009 MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT (section 618) - Makes the Planning Exemption Amendment Regulation to extend the expiry date to June 30, 2011. 316/2009 MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT (section 693) - Makes the Calgary International Airport Vicinity Protection Area Regulation. 317/2009 SAFETY CODES ACT (section 65) - Makes the Electrical Code Amendment Regulation to adopt the 2009 Canadian Electrical Code as published by the Canadian Standards Association. Williams as members of the Labour Relations Board, each for a term to expire on June 25, 2012. 321/2009 REGULATED ACCOUNTING PROFESSION ACT (sections 20 and 21) - Reappoints Alistair (Al) Anderson, William Faulder, John A. (Tony) Howard, J. Ken Levins, Frank G. J. Nieboer and Roger S. Smith as public members to the roster for the discipline and appeal tribunals and sanction agreement panels of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, each for a term to expire on June 23, 2012. HONOURABLE MR. GROENEVELD 322/2009 MARKETING OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS ACT (section 18) - Makes the Alfalfa Seed Plan Regulation establishing a refundable commission for the alfalfa seed growers in Alberta (excluding the Alberta Peace Region). 323/2009 MARKETING OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS ACT (section 23) - Makes the Alberta Pulse Growers Marketing Plan Amendment Regulation to modify director terms and zone structures; provide more representation for bean growers; update county and municipality names that have changed since the last review; and set the next regulatory review date for June 30, 2014. HAYDEN 324/2009 POST-SECONDARY LEARNING ACT (section 67) - Approves the granting by The Board of Governors of Lakeland College to The City of Lloydminster of a licence of occupation of certain land for the purpose of operating a fire station and emergency command centre for a term ending August 31, 2048. 325/2009 POST-SECONDARY LEARNING ACT (section 67) - Approves the sale by The Board of Governors of Northern Lakes College of surplus land located in the Hamlet of Grouard. 326/2009 POST-SECONDARY LEARNING ACT (section 67) - Approves the sale of certain lands by the Board of Governors of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology to The Board of Governors of Grande Prairie Regional College. 327/2009 POST-SECONDARY LEARNING ACT (section 67) - Approves the sale of certain lands by the Board of Governors of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology to The Board of Governors of Northern Lakes College. 328/2009 PUBLIC LANDS ACT (section 7) - Transfers the administration and control of certain public lands from the Minister of Infrastructure to the Minister of Transportation. HONOURABLE MR. HORNER - HONOURABLE MRS. TARCHUK (ACTING) 329/2009 POST-SECONDARY LEARNING ACT (sections 44 and 56) - Appoints Sandra G. Willing as a member of The Board of Governors of Northern Lakes College for a term to expire on June 23, 2012. 330/2009 POST-SECONDARY LEARNING ACT (sections 44 and 56) - Amends the term prescribed for Douglas O. Goss as a member of the Board of Governors of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology to expire on October 9, 2010. HONOURABLE MR. HORNER - HONOURABLE MRS. TARCHUK (ACTING) HONOURABLE MS EVANS - HONOURABLE MR. SNELGROVE (ACTING) 331/2009 POST-SECONDARY LEARNING ACT (section 73); FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION ACT (section 81) - Approves the borrowing by The Board of Governors of Lethbridge College from the Alberta Capital Finance Authority of not more than $4 800 000 in Canadian funds for a term not to exceed 30 years and at an interest rate not to exceed 6.5% per annum for a residence facility. 332/2009 POST-SECONDARY LEARNING ACT (section 73); FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION ACT (section 81) - Approves the borrowing by The Board of Governors of Mount Royal College from the Alberta Capital Finance Authority of not more than $40 000 000 in Canadian funds for a term not to exceed 30 years and at an interest rate not to exceed 5.5% per annum for the construction of a vehicle parkade. JABLONSKI 333/2009 PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES COMMUNITY GOVERNANCE ACT (section 23) - Makes the Developmental Disabilities Regulation. 334/2009 SENIORS BENEFIT ACT (section 6) - Makes the Seniors Benefit Act General Amendment Regulation. HONOURABLE MRS. KLIMCHUK 335/2009 CRIMINAL CODE (CANADA) (section 347.1) - Requests the Governor in Council of Canada to designate the Province of Alberta for the purposes of section 347.1 of the Criminal Code (Canada) because Alberta has enacted the Payday Loans Regulation (AR 157/2009), which provides legislative measures that protect recipients of payday loans and that provide for limits on the total cost of borrowing under payday loan agreements. 336/2009 FOREIGN OWNERSHIP OF LAND REGULATIONS (section 14) - Orders that the transaction under which Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited acquired an interest in certain controlled land in S1/2 of S1/2 27, N1/2 of S1/2 of 27, Pt. SE 27, SE 28, Pt. NW 27-54-27-W4 for sand and gravel extraction purposes, is excluded from the operation of the Foreign Ownership of Land Regulations, except for sections 22 and 25. HONOURABLE MR. Poplar Point Energy Inc., pursuant to section 80(1) of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act, has applied for an order prescribing the pooling of tracts within a certain drilling spacing unit in the Willesden Green Field. The project is located approximately 24 kilometres northeast of Rocky Mountain House. 345/2009 OIL AND GAS CONSERVATION ACT (section 80) - Approves the E.R.C.B. Order No. P 399, being an order pooling tracts within a certain drilling spacing unit in the Centron Field. EnCana Corporation, pursuant to section 80 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act, has applied for an order prescribing the pooling of tracts within a certain drilling spacing unit in the Centron Field. The project is located approximately 11 kilometres southwest of the Town of Strathmore. 346/2009 PROCLAMATION - Proclaiming the Gas Utilities Amendment Act, 2009 in force on the date of issue of the Proclamation. 347/2009 GAS UTILITIES ACT (section 26) - Makes the Gas Utilities Designation Amendment Regulation. 348/2009 PUBLIC UTILITIES ACT (section 101) - Makes the Public Utilities Designation Amendment Regulation. HONOURABLE MR. OUELLETTE 356/2009 TRAFFIC SAFETY ACT (section 22) - Appoints Gilbert Boddez, Franklin Kobie, Larry Ruptash and Lorne Wittig as members of the Alberta Transportation Safety Board, each for a term to expire on June 23, 2012. HONOURABLE MS REDFORD 357/2009 COURT OF APPEAL ACT (section 16); COURT OF QUEEN’S BENCH ACT (section 20); CIVIL ENFORCEMENT ACT (section 107) - Makes the Alberta Rules of Court Amendment Regulation. The amendments modify the current format for transcripts of court proceedings and revise the tariff of fees payable for transcript production. 358/2009 FATALITY INQUIRIES ACT (section 55) - Makes the Fatality Inquiries Amendment Regulation. 359/2009 JUSTICE OF THE PEACE ACT (section 4) - Effective July 1, 2009, appoints Darrell Joseph Blais as a justice of the peace designated as a full-time presiding justice of the peace; and appoints William Morrow Faulkner as a justice of the peace designated as a part-time presiding justice of the peace, each for a term of 10 years. 360/2009 PROCLAMATION - Proclaiming section 3(5) and (6) of the Justice Statutes Amendment Act, 2006 in force on July 6, 2009. 361/2009 PROCLAMATION - Proclaiming section 7 of the Trade, Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement Implementation Statutes Amendment Act, 2009 in force on the date of issue of the Proclamation. 362/2009 PROCLAMATION - Proclaiming section 12(5) of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act, 2003 (No. 2) in force on the date of issue of the Proclamation. 363/2009 PROVINCIAL COURT ACT (section 9.1) - Effective July 1, 2009, designates Judge Eldon John Simpson as Assistant Chief Judge of the Northern Region of The Provincial Court of Alberta for a term of 5 years to expire on June 30, 2014. 364/2009 RECORDING OF EVIDENCE ACT (section 9) - Makes the Transcript Fees Regulation, which will repeal the Mechanical Recording of Evidence Act Regulation, and will provide that fees for transcripts produced by court reporters and transcriptionists employed by or contracted to the Government of Alberta shall be as set out in Schedule E, Number 8 of the Alberta Rules of Court. HONOURABLE MR. RENNER 365/2009 ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT ACT (section 175) - Makes the Designated Material Recycling and Management Amendment Regulation. 366/2009 ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT ACT (section 175) - Makes the Paint and Paint Container Designation Amendment Regulation. HONOURABLE MRS. TARCHUK 367/2009 PREMIER’S COUNCIL ON ALBERTA’S PROMISE ACT (section 4) - Reappoints Susan Riddell Rose as a member and Vice-chair for a term to expire on March 31, 2012; and reappoints members to the Premier’s Council on Alberta’s Promise, each for a term to expire on March 31, 2012.
