Haiti Earthquake Relief

On Tuesday, January 12, a massive 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck the Caribbean nation of Haiti. An extensive rescue and recovery effort is now underway to help the estimated 3 million Haitians affected by the disaster.

On January 15, Premier Ed Stelmach announced that the Alberta government will donate $500,000 towards the relief effort in Haiti. Read the news release.
