What Others are saying about Alberta’s participation at the Offshore Technology Conference May 4-7 in Houston, Texas:

“The Alberta government support of this show has been invaluable in helping us to attend and in getting such a great booth location at the show. We get much more booth traffic, meet more potential customers and get a much higher profile because of the excellent location.” – Ted Redmond, Executive vice president of Energy Products and Services, McCoy Corporation.

“Master Flo has been attending the OTC for over the past 20 years and initially we started with the support of the Canadian and Alberta governments’ involvement and participation in the shows. This was very helpful to us, as it put us in a prominent location in the show and helped us with the logistics and knowledge of how to be involved in a show like this. Our head office is Edmonton, but we, like many companies are a serious global player, and the OTC is just one place we go to show the world who we are.” - Mark McNeill, president of Master Flo.

“(Our members) have been quite motivated to help share a more balanced story about the industry and help the public assess all the information they receive more critically,” – Trent Kaiser, President of the Canadian Heavy Oil Association. Kaiser will be talking to conference participants about the important work done by those Canada’s heavy oil industry.

“The exhibition is THE place that companies come to present their technology to an international audience and to introduce new products. Energy officials come from 127 countries to see the latest advances in offshore technology and learn about the real-world solutions to technical problems that they can take home and apply immediately.” OTC 2009 Chairman Don Vardeman.
