This work completes a $13 million project that began last year. Overlay work on Kananaskis Lake Trail was completed last fall.

This project, an excellent example of the Building Alberta plan, provides smoother travels for tourists and local residents along this popular route.

April 24 to June 20

Motorists will experience intermittent lane closure and speed reduction on Highway 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Speed limits will be reduced to 80 km/h when construction crews are working.

The project is expected to be completed by June 20, but is subject to weather conditions.
