Work at the Stoney Trail and Macleod Trail interchange will be scheduled to minimize traffic impacts during peak hours.  The $4 million interchange upgrade enhances this important commuter route by giving the people of south Calgary two lanes of traffic in each direction along the Stony Trail overpass.

April 23 to 29

Eastbound Stoney Trail over Macleod Trail will be reduced to one lane from April 23 to April 29 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., subject to weather conditions. This will allow crews to safely install guardrails. Westbound lanes will remain open.

Speed limits will be reduced to 60 km/h when construction crews are working. There will be no traffic impacts to Macleod Trail.

April 30 to May 30

Occasional off-peak lane closures will occur on eastbound and westbound Stoney Trail at the Macleod Trail interchange from April 29 to May 30, subject to weather conditions, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

This will allow crews to install signage and repair minor deficiencies to improve motorist safety.
