Nominations open for provincial child care awards
Edmonton... Do you know an early learning and child care professional in your community who has gone above and beyond their commitment to providing outstanding, quality care and deserves to be recognized?
The 2012 Child Care Professional Awards of Excellence acknowledge skilled people who create stimulating experiences for children that encourage them to laugh, learn and play. Eligible nominees must work in either a licensed day care, pre-school, out-of-school care, approved family day home or a Parent Link Centre. Nominees will be evaluated based on how they demonstrate professional excellence in four key areas:
Last year’s award recipients represented the communities of Beaumont, Calgary, Cold Lake, Edmonton, Grande Cache, Innisfail, Lethbridge and St. Paul. A total of 60 recipients have been recognized since the provincial awards program was introduced in 2006.
Alberta Human Services and the Alberta Child Care Association are jointly presenting the 7th annual Awards of Excellence, with the support of CTV and CTV Two Television, Wintergreen Learning Materials, Built to Learn Furniture - a division of the Excel Society, and Groundwater Communications.
