The Alberta government is providing more than $3.2 million to help ensure residents in the capital region have reliable access to wastewater treatment systems.
“This investment means more than 200,000 residents in Capital Region communities will continue to enjoy modern, clean and reliable wastewater services. Our government is committed to working with communities of all sizes to ensure Albertans have the infrastructure we need to support growth.”
“Wastewater infrastructure is critically important to the health and growth of the communities across this region as well as to ensure protection of the North Saskatchewan River. We are grateful to the Province of Alberta for this grant funding. It will help offset the cost of critical upgrades to our system and help the Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Commission provide top quality wastewater services to our 13 member municipalities and the residents and businesses they serve.”
