Alberta, Nova Scotia sign labour mobility agreement

“It was a pleasure to meet with Premier McNeil today. We had a productive discussion around a range of issues and acknowledged the benefits of having our provinces work closely together.

“Alberta and Nova Scotia have engaged in ongoing work to improve apprentice mobility between our provinces. Today, we signed agreements designed to improve apprentice mobility and promote the mutual recognition of pre-employment training between our provinces. Labour mobility is a key element of a strong labour market and contributes to economic growth, innovation and productivity.

“Whether it’s at the Council of the Federation or one-on-one meetings like we had today, Alberta and Nova Scotia have a long history of working together. I look forward to working with Premier McNeil on areas of mutual interest for our provinces.”
