DeLong will represent Alberta at the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region (PNWER) Economic Leadership Forum from November 19 to 22. Alberta’s strong environmental record, our use of innovation and clean technology and our approach to sustainable energy development will be key discussion items for DeLong.

“PNWER gatherings provide an important forum to meet with our Pacific Northwest counterparts as we work to shape economic and environmental policy. I look forward to sharing how Alberta ensures our resources are developed using innovative and responsible approaches.”

Alana DeLong, MLA for Calgary-Bow

PNWER brings together government representatives, business and civic leaders, and other organizations from Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, Yukon, Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Washington. The organization has a long history of cooperation to strengthen the region’s economy, while also balancing environmental performance, access to global markets and policy innovation.

DeLong is the Canadian Vice-President and Chair of Alberta’s delegate council for PNWER.
