For the past 26 years, this program has invited students, parents, colleagues and community members to show their appreciation for Alberta’s most dedicated, innovative and talented teachers and principals.

“Our semi-finalists use their expertise and creativity every day to make a powerful and lasting impact in the lives of their students.  These teachers exemplify the vision of Inspiring Education and are helping to build Alberta for an even brighter future.  We are proud of their achievements and thank them for their contributions.”

Jeff Johnson, Minister of Education

Semi-finalists will be formally recognized at celebration events next month, and will be presented with a certificate and access to $1,500 for professional development.  The 20 semi-finalists selected as 2014 award recipients will be announced in May.
